                                 Dr. S. Radhakrishnan

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5th September 1888. He received his education from Tirupati, Vellore and Madras. He was appointed as the Professor at Oxford University as well as remained the Chancellor of Delhi University. He had also held several prestigious posts. He was sent to Russia as an Indian Ambassador. In 1952, he was elected as the Vice-president of India. He was also the President of Sahitya Academy for a short duration. His immense works and services to the nation were recognized and therefore in the year 1954 he was honored with the highest reward”Bharat Ratna”. In 1962, he was elected the President of India. During his lifespan he had written several books; “Heart of Hindustan “and “the Hindu View of Life” are among his renowned books.
